Sam didn't even wait to glance at the Pack leader of the Yena. He just continued running.

The strength difference between both of them is way too high. Maybe if he used light fusion, he could keep up their distance a bit, but then the blood smell on him will be gone and the Yena might not even be attracted to him.

So, he had to take this risk.

Of course, he is not stupid enough to take this risk without making any preparations.

He took deep breaths trying to catch his breth.

The yena pack leader looked at Sam and a wild grin appeared on its face. It halted along with the rest of the pack and slowly made its way to him. When it is only a couple of feet away.

The young man threw the girl in his hands away and just donned on some loose robe before turning towards her.

"What happened?"

The lady spoke in the same voice.

"The guards reported that they heard hundreds of howls from the forest. Some hunters reported that they saw a large pack of beasts walking into the forests.

No one knows where they came from. No one has seen such a creature before."

The young man frowned and said.

"How can there be any new creature? And how can hundreds appear out of thin air?" He asked in a frustrated tone.

The very reason, he got himself the post of the city lord is because he didn't want to do any work. He just wanted to revel in pleasures while the city ran by itself. Everything from work to women should be served in silver platter to him.

So, the woman's vague details were getting on his nerves.

Seeing that she didn't have an answer, he said.

"What is the **ing point of all these people if I have to do everything by myself? Send the Deputy City guard along with a squad. Tell them to investigate what they see in that forest and control the situation."

She bowed after that and left immediately. Once again, she swayed her hips deliberately, she could feel the ogling of the young man from behind. She got out of the room and turned the corner. Finally, her walking became normal and her expression turned dark.

"Fucking bastard. I need to get out of here soon. Young master better pay me double for this."

She mumbled as she walked to the Deputy's office. She put on a fake smile and gave the mission details, before going back to her own quarters. She used a special formation to activate a munication link.

A man's silhouette appeared in front of her as projection.

"Young master, didn't you ask me to report if something odd happens in this city and surroundings? I spotted something."

She went on explain the whole situation and Javin just listened to the whole thing without so much as a change in expression.

The woman even revealed more details to Javin that she did to the City lord.

Only after she explained everything did Javin speak.

"Alright, good job. I think it is time that you e back. You can take a vacation for a while and I will assign you a new task."

The woman is delighted and nodded like a pecking chicken.
